Governor Lobong dismisses two Mayors in EES

Eastern Equatoria State Governor, Louis Lobong Lojore, has announced a significant reshuffle affecting key municipal and county leadership positions.

In Kapoeta Municipality, Mayor Lukuda Elia Lonyia has been relieved of his duties and replaced by Lotede Lomuria Abraham.

Meanwhile, in Torit Municipality, both Mayor Mustafa Zacharia Albino and his deputy, Lokai Philemon Lopeta, have also been dismissed. Oyito Babtist Soforonio has been appointed as the new mayor of Torit.

The announcement was made through gubernatorial decrees announced on the state-run radio, 97.5 FM-The Voice of Eastern Equatoria State, on Friday evening.

In additional reshuffles, Abdallah Lokeno, Commissioner of Kapoeta East County, has been suspended and replaced by Stephen Lowosio Lomongin, who will serve as caretaker commissioner.

Ceaser Longai Fuli, formerly the Coordinator of Eastern Equatoria State in Juba, has been appointed Mayor of Nimule Municipality. His previous role will now be filled by Lodae Pascalino Woyakori, who formerly served as Executive Director in the Governor’s Office.
